CCTV notifications are most useful when they draw your attention to activity that matters. Compatible Ajax cameras offer object-detection alerts for people, vehicles and animals. The available options depend on your equipment, app and software versions.

Choose useful alerts

Think about the area each camera covers and when you need to hear about activity. A front entrance, staff car park and garden may need different settings. Ask us to review the notification options for your installed system rather than enabling every alert by default.

Check the whole setup

Camera view: confirm that the position and lighting show the area you need.
Notification preferences: agree which events matter and who should receive them.
Phone permissions: check that your phone allows the app to display the notifications you want.
Recording: confirm the recording arrangements separately. Receiving an alert does not establish how long footage will be retained.

Test with a familiar activity

After changes, check the result with an ordinary activity such as someone walking to your entrance. Review the camera view, alert and available recording together. If something is missing, note the time and what you expected to happen so our team can investigate.
